The Motivity route function is designed to help those companies who allocate a number of customer sites / equipment for a designated engineer to manage on their own.
Simplistically you can assign individual pieces of equipment on a customer site to a route. Then, by assigning an engineer to the same route, that engineer can :
see when each piece of equipment requires a service next.
create and complete a service visit for any piece of equipment on that route
There are a number of pre-requisites to get this up and running.
You need to:
Switch on the route feature (company settings -> system settings -> Enable 'My Route' Section on Apps -> On & company settings -> system settings -> Show Extra Equipment Filters (Service due + route) -> On)
Set up the names of the service routes (company settings -> prompts -> routes)
Allow engineers to create jobs on their app (company settings -> Allow Add Job on Mobile -> Yes - Search By Equipment)
Make sure you have a service job type configured for the engineer to use (contact us for help)
Make sure that job type is configured to allow engineers to use on the app (edit job type - Mobile users can create jobs of this type - Yes)
Assign engineers to a route (Personnel -> click pencil next to engineer's name -> select Route from dropdown list)
Assign equipment to a route (from equipment or site equipment list -> click pencil against equipment and select Route from dropdown list)
Once this is done, the Home page on the app will show a new Route Card listing all the equipment on their route :
By tapping on that card they can see a full list and sort by various different methods including by service due date.
There's also an option to limit the list to equipment needing service this month and also any overdue too.
Tapping on a piece of equipment in the list allows them to create a service job.
Route Management Tools
In addition to above there are a couple of tools to help with route management.
These are under Company Settings -> Route Management.
Table - lets you view and change what equipment is assigned to each route
Map - shows the location of each piece of equipment on a map for each route*
*to get this to function, the site addresses must have map co-ordinates saved.
If you use the Google Address helper box when you edit or create site addresses, this will automatically fill this information in for you.
